My Mom and Dad still tell the story about how little Jessica was only a couple weeks old when she made her Big E debut. I’m not entirely sure when my love affair with autumn began but I have a feeling being a September child whose parents thought it was a good idea to take me to the fair as one of my very first outings in this world might have played a part. Either way, I’m all about it and not ashamed to boast my love for a fair filled with fried food, donuts, beer, donuts, infomercial for purchase, donuts, farm animals, donuts, top notch people watching and more donuts. Cider donuts, to be more specific.

And thankfully, God knew what he was doing when he introduced me to my husband… who equally loves the Big E and has also been attending his entire life. It’s a tradition from both our childhoods that we’ve held onto and now we get to bring our own tiny human along! Life is pretty sweet.

The weather was perfect, the donuts were warm, and the beer was cold (with a yummy cinnamon sugar rim). We had ourselves a great day.
