I don’t know about wherever you live, but here in Massachusetts it’s really hard to find dog friendly beaches in the summer. It’s such a bummer because I love bringing them along BUT we recently discovered that all beaches in Marshfield are dog friendly year round! So, naturally, we had to visit!Hubby, Mya and Riley (our dogs.. I assume by now you probably know them by name), my brother, mom and their dog all piled in the Jeep and headed to the South Shore. It was a Sunday in June but the wind on the water was chilly.. which made me cold but also happy because I love when beaches are empty and this one was exactly that! We enjoyed a picnic on the beach (thanks Mom!) and then wandered along the shore.

Riley is not a fan of waves coming towards her.. she’s actually pretty terrified and prefers to just run laps back and forth on the sand.My brother was brave enough to get wet and his dog was a bit more adventurous in the waves.After some fun in the water, we relaxed on a blanket for awhile before heading home. I’m really trying to embrace spontaneity and adventure this summer.. even if that means a spur of the moment pile in the Jeep and drive somewhere for an afternoon or a last minute hike.. and so far this mentality has been treating us good!
