Everyday hubby and I don’t have work or house projects to fill our day, he’ll ask me what I want to do. My answer is always the same: “I don’t know but something outside.” I can’t get enough of this spring weather.. the warm sun and cool breeze, the smell of lilacs and endless greenery. I love it all so much. We’re always looking for new places to explore and decided to check out The Grist Mill at the Wayside Inn in Sudbury. The Wayside Inn is the oldest inn still operating in the United States and is accompanied by a restaurant and 125 acres of beauty. On the property is the Grist Mill which was built under the former owner Henry Ford in the early 1900s and still produces corn meal and wheat flour!
We figured there would be more walking trails than there actually are but the surrounding streams and open fields would make an ideal picnic spot. But we still wandered around every path we could find and took turns running wild with Riley.
Miss Mya seeks out every body of water she can find when we’re out.. at the very end of our trip we were finally able to find her a safe spot to get wet.. she drank her weight in water and was a happy girl.
