All those years ago when I was a little girl playing with dolls, I knew I wanted to be a real mom someday. But, my goodness, I had no idea just how wonderful this adventure could be. Motherhood, with all of its highs and lows, tears and laughter, second guessing and finding confidence… its the best thing I’ve ever done and it just keeps getting better.
Playgrounds and swings bring back such sweet memories from my childhood… those carefree, innocent days, flying high and feeling weightless. Funny story: I learned how to swing in my dreams. I did not understand how to pump my legs out and in to make myself swing higher. Then, one night, I had a dream how to do it and the next day everything clicked.
Over the past couple months, I’ve been taking mental notes of playground locations nearby to eventually bring Jackson. Last night, I decided it was as good a time as any. His little legs kicked nonstop with joy as he swung back and forth and I grinned ear to ear with pure happiness. This is what childhood is all about. Freedom and flying high.

PS. Am I the only person who takes a bajillion of the (almost) same photo and can’t fathom deleting a single one because each tiny expression is priceless?
