Weekend Reads

September is days away and I am so ready for everything fall has to offer. This week gave us a lovely break from summer heat and had me contemplating pulling out my pumpkins (hubby insists it’s too early.. I’m going to give him another week max). There is something about this cool, crisp, fresh air that makes me feel alive.. it’s like a new beginning. I already started transitioning my closet from light summer t-shirts to cozy September sweaters. I’m ready to make soups, roasted chickens and casseroles. I’m excited to fill my home with the scent of baking pumpkin bread and apple pie. And, I can’t wait to get a pumpkin cream cold brew from Starbucks (this might even happen today).

Today is Friday which means your weekend is merely hours away. On your way home today, stop at the grocery store and buy yourself some fresh flowers, compliment a total stranger and kiss your spouse when you walk through your front door. After dinner, pile your family in the car and drive to the best spot you know to watch the sunset before unwinding on the couch with a glass of your favorite wine. Enjoy every moment of this last weekend in August. You deserve it.

Here are some articles I enjoyed this week to help jump start your day. Happy Friday friends!
