Red White & Blue Trifle

Just in time for Independence Day, this berry trifle is one of my go to desserts for cookouts.. simple to make, requires zero cooking, looks pretty and is always a crowd pleaser. This dish is fruity and light with the perfect amount of sweetness for those warm summer days.

Ingredients

2 pints fresh blueberries

2 pints fresh strawberries, sliced

1 store bought angel food cake, cut into 1 inch cubes

1 block cream cheese, softened to room temperature

1 can sweetened condensed milk

1 cup milk

1 package vanilla instant pudding mix

1 container Cool Whip

In a bowl, combine the milk and pudding mix. In another large bowl, combine cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk until smooth, then add the pudding mix. Fold Cool Whip into mixture.

To assemble, arrange half of the angel food cake in the bottom of a clear trifle dish. Add a layer of blueberries followed by a layer of pudding mixture. Repeat these layers again except with strawberries and complete with a pudding layer. Use the remaining berries to create a festive pattern on the top. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Enjoy!

Love, Jessica
