Apple Picking

As soon as September rolls around (okay, let me be more honest: as soon as the first cool August evening rolls around) I’m ready to start transitioning into all things fall. I love this short lived season so much. There is nothing better than starting a day with warm pumpkin coffee, wearing jeans and a sweatshirt, baking casseroles for dinner and finishing a day with warm apple crisp. I know, I know. Such a basic bitch and I’m 100% okay with that.I’ve gone apple picking every year since I can remember and hubby and I have continued to keep this tradition alive. Mostly because we love the orchard cider donuts and desserts we can make after with our pickings. Also, look at these baby apples (that are not ready to be picked).. they are so darling! I’ve never seen apples this little.. they looked like clusters of cherries!
