- family time. turkey. mashed potatoes. apple pie. pumpkin pie. black friday shopping. guys, i love thanksgiving so much! and it’s tomorrow and i’m so excited! it’s one of my favorite holidays because it’s filled with family and good food and if that’s all i ever have in life, i’ll die a happy lady. it’s a holiday not shadowed by superficial things like gifts. a time to count our blessings. and it’s officially the start of the christmas season which is my most favorite of all.
- although i try to live my life with gratitude and count my blessings regularly, this time of year really makes me slow down and remember.. and my goodness, i have so much to be thankful for.
-
- i am most thankful for ben. my husband. my best friend. my protector. my confidant. my voice of reason. i have no idea what i ever did in life to deserve such an amazing sidekick but i think i’m the luckiest girl in the world.
- i’m thankful for my family, each and every one of them. we may not see eye to eye but they are always in my corner, supporting and loving me and always keeping me in check.
- i’m thankful for the best in laws that i actually enjoy spending time with!
- i’m thankful for our two crazy puppies. they cover the house in fur and dirt and wake us up earlier than we appreciate, but they make me laugh on even my worst days.
- i’m thankful for my education and my job.. i have the ability to touch the lives of so many people everyday. to spend my days in an environment that encourages constant learning. to be surrounded by colleagues that stimulate and challenge my mind, make me laugh and who have become great friends.
- i’m thankful for coffee and chocolate. i’m not sure i’d make it through the day without them!
- i’m thankful for my family, ben and my health. i see so many tragically young and sick people daily.. we are so blessed to be overall healthy.
- i’m thankful i discovered crossfit.. a sport which has made me physically but, more importantly, mentally stronger. a sport that has introduced me to some of my closest friends.
-
- i wish you all the happiest thanksgiving. may your day be filled with loved ones, pie and wine!
